First of all, the download is free (defo a plus), second it offers features like consistency checks, numeric values checks and much more. It also helps detecting if any segment has been left blank, or if the source is the same as the target, avoiding unpleasant mismatches and tiny mistakes.
It supports Trados files (both Workbench and TagEditor‘s) and by simply ticking a few options in the main mask, users can obtain a report for the file they have been working on and then edit directly onscreen for changes to be applied in the relevant .ttx or word file. Once the changes have been made and you’re happy with the final result, an html or txt format file can be exported or sent.
Of course, this is not the solution to all problems (machines are still machines, after all, right?) but it does helps a tad here and there.
